Applications

In paints, both oil and cement varieties particularly for outside applications, specifically due to its ability to withstand severe weather conditions. Other uses are in the manufacture of linoleum, ceramic glazes, colored glasses, stainless steel electro codes, buffing and polishing compounds and for the manufacture of chromium metal.
- Used in ceramic industry. It is mixed with metal oxides to produce pigments, which vary in shade from black to yellow.
- Also used in cosmetics and personal care industries like colour bar and eye shadows.
